Peran Konselor ASI dalam Keberhasilan Pemberian Kolostrum

Abstract

Lactation counseling carried out by breastfeeding counselors can help increase the knowledge and motivation of pregnant women in preparing for colostrum and exclusive breastfeeding. This study aims to determine the role of breast milk counselors in the success of giving colostrum. This study was an action research, with 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The results showed that there were still 13% of mothers who did not give colostrum to their babies because the mother's family was worried that if there was no immediate food, the babies became fussy because of hunger and mothers couldn't wait for colostrum to come out on days 1-4. after the baby was born.

ABSTRAK

Konseling laktasi yang dilakukan oleh konselor air susu ibu dapat membantu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan motivasi ibu hamil dalam mempersiapkan pemberian kolostrum dan menyusui secara esklusif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran konselor air susu ibu terhadap keberhasilan pemberian kolostrum. Studi ini merupakan action research, dengan 2 siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahap, yaitu: perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masih ada 13% ibu yang tidak memberikan kolostrum kepada bayinya dikarenakan keluarga ibu merasa khawatir jika tidak ada makanan yang segera diberikan, maka bayi menjadi bayi rewel karena kelaparan dan ibu tidak sabar menunggu kolostrum yang akan segera keluar pada hari 1–4 setelah bayinya lahir.
