Efektifitas Neuromuscular Taping Method untuk Memperbaiki Fungsional Otot Wajah pada Bell’s Palsy

Abstract

Background: This decompression taping installation is known as the neuromuscular taping method (NMT). Works eccentrically and decompresses to lift the facial skin and widen the interstitial space, thereby increasing circulation, helping the process of absorption of fluid on the facial skin, and reducing pressure in the subcutaneous area. Objective: To determine the effect of the neuromuscular taping method on the success of physiotherapy in Bell's palsy patients. Methods: This study used observational analytics, administering a treatment program using NMT to a sample of the Bell's palsy population according to the inclusion criteria within a period of 3x/week for 2 months. Results: Based on the analysis of the data results from the evaluation using the Ugo Fisch scale parameter where there are variations in the improvement. Patient S before giving treatment got a score of 22 and the result after giving treatment with Therapy 9 got a score of 100. In patient B before giving treatment, it got a score of 34 and the result after giving treatment with Therapy 9 a score of 100. In patient R before giving treatment a score of score 58 and after giving Therapy 5 treatment a score of 100. In patient F before giving treatment a score of 70 and after giving Treatment 5 a score of 100. Conclusion: NMT consistently provides improvements to improve facial muscle function in patients with Bell's palsy is based on the results of evaluation uses the Ugo Fisch scale parameter where there are variations in the improvement. Suggestion: It is necessary to carry out this NMT program for other Bell's palsy sufferers in order to find out the results of a significant and rapid increase in the physiotherapy program.

ABSTRAK

Latar Belakang: Pemasangan taping dekompresi ini dikenal dengan sebutan neuromuscular taping method (NMT). Bekerja secara eksentrik dan dekompresi untuk mengangkat kulit wajah dan melebarkan ruang interstitial, sehingga dapat meningkatkan sirkulasi, membantu proses penyerapan cairan pada kulit wajah, dan mengurangi tekanan pada area subkutan. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian neuromuscular taping method dengan keberhasilan fisioterapi pada pasien bell’s palsy. Metode: penelitian ini menggunakan analitik observasional, pemberian program perlakuan menggunakan NMT kepada sampel populasi bell’s palsy yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dalam rentang waktu 3x/minggu selama 2 bulan. Hasil: Berdasarkan analisa data hasil dari evaluasi menggunakan parameter ugo fisch scale dimana terdapat variasi dalam perbaikannya. Pasien S sebelum pemberian perlakuan didapatkan skor nilai 22 dan hasil setelah pemberian perlakuan Terapi 9 didapatkan skor nilai 100. Pada pasien B sebelum pemberian perlakuan didapatkan skor nilai 34 dan hasil setelah pemberian perlakuan Terapi 9 skor nilai 100. Pada pasien R sebelum pemberian perlakuan nilai skor 58 dan setelah pemberian perlakuan Terapi 5 skor nilai 100. Pada pasien F sebelum pemberian perlakuan nilai skor 70 dan setelah pemberian perlakuan Terapi 5 skor nilai 100. Kesimpulan: NMT konsisten memberikan peningkatan untuk memperbaiki fungsional otot wajah pada penderita bell’s palsy ini didasari oleh hasil dari evaluasi menggunakan parameter ugo fisch scale dimana terdapat variasi dalam perbaikannya. Saran: Perlu dilakukan program NMT ini kepada penderita bell’s palsy lainnya agar dapat mengetahui hasil peningkatan program fisioterapi yang signifikan dan cepat.
