Efektivitas Ekstrak Daun Lamtoro (Leucaena leucocephala L) sebagai Alternatif Penyembuhan Luka Abrasi

Abstract


Abrasion wounds occur due to skin rubbing against other objects that are usually with objects that are not sharp. The incidence of abrasion injuries ranks first in the incidence of injury, and this requires an alternative treatment to speed up the recovery process. Lamtoro leaves (leucaena leucocephala l) are known to contain several compounds such as saponins, tannins, alkaloids, and flavonoids. This compound has benefits including antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and analgesics. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of lamtoro leaf extract ointment (leucaena leucocephala l) as an alternative to abrasion wound healing. The samples used were 25 male white mice, which were divided into five treatment groups. Group (P1) applied 10% lamtoro leaf extract ointment, group (P2) applied 15% lamtoro leaf extract ointment, group (P3) applied 20% lamtoro leaf extract ointment, group (P4) applied bethadine drug, and group (P5) only given ointment base. The treatment was carried out for seven days by observing the wound healing process every day. Based on statistical analysis, there was no significant difference in the treatment group given 10%, 15%, 20% and bethadine ointment, and there was a significant difference between groups (P3) with 20% ointment compared to the treatment group (P5) which only given ointment base. The results of the study showed that clinically the 20% Lamtoro extract ointment was more effective at healing abrasion wounds.

ABSTRAK

Luka abrasi terjadi akibat kulit bergesekan dengan benda lain yang biasanya dengan benda yang tidak tajam. Angka kejadian luka abrasi menempati urutan pertama dari kejadian cidera, dan hal ini memerlukan alternatif penanganan untuk mempercepat poses penyembuhan. Daun lamtoro (Leucaena leucocephala l) diketahui mengandung beberapa senyawa seperti saponin, tanin, alkaloid, dan flavonoid. Senyawa ini mempunyai manfaat antara lain antioksidan, antiinflamasi dan analgesik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas pemberian salep ekstrak daun lamtoro (Leucaena leucocephala l) sebagai alternatif penyembuhan luka abrasi. Sampel yang digunakan 25 ekor mencit putih jantan, yang terbagi dalam lima kelompok perlakuan. Kelompok (P1) dioleskan salep ekstrak daun lamtoro 10%, kelompok (P2) dioleskan salep ekstrak daun lamtoro 15%, kelompok (P3) dioleskan salep ekstrak daun lamtoro 20%, kelompok (P4) dioleskan obat bethadine, dan kelompok (P5) hanya diberikan basis salep. Perlakuan dilakukan selama tujuh hari dengan melakukan pengamatan terhadap proses penyembuhan luka setiap hari. Berdasarkan analisis statistik didapatkan tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna pada kelompok perlakuan yang diberikan salep 10%, 15%, 20% dan bethadine, dan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok (P3) dengan ektrak salep 20% dibandingkan dengan kelompok perlakuan (P5) yang hanya diberikan basis salep. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara klinis salep ekstrak lamtoro 20% lebih efektif menyembuhkan luka abrasi.
