Self Management dan Kualitas Hidup Penderita Hipertensi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Klatak

Abstract

Hypertension is known as the silent killer because the signs and symptoms of this disease are not specific, can attack anyone, and at any time, and can cause degenerative diseases and even death. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-management and the quality of life of hypertensive patients. The method used in this study was cross-sectional and 60 respondents were selected by purposive sampling technique. Data collection used the HSMBQ (Hypertension Self-management Behavior Questionnaire) and WHOQOL-BERF (World Health Organization Quality of Life). The data analysis used was Spearman's rank correlation test. The results of the analysis show the value of p = 0.000. It was concluded that there is a relationship between self-management and quality of life. Good self-management will improve the quality of life of people with hypertension.

ABSTRAK

Hipertensi dikenal dengan silent killer karena tanda dan gejala penyakit ini tidak spesifik, dapat menyerang siapa saja, dan kapan saja, serta dapat menimbulkan penyakit degeneratif hingga kematian. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self management dengan kualitas hidup penderita hipertensi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah cross-sectional dan sebanyak 60 responden dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan HSMBQ (Hypertension Self management Behaviour Quetionnaire) dan WHOQOL-BERF (World Health Organization Quality of Life). Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji korelasi rank Spearman. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai p = 0,000. Disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan antara self management dengan kualitas hidup. Self management yang baik akan meningkatkan kualitas hidup penderita hipertensi.
