The Relationship of Job Satisfaction and Loyalty Employees of Institute X in Mataram City

Abstract


Work loyalty is one of the elements used in employee assessment, including loyalty to their work, position, and organization. One of the factors that influences employee work loyalty is job satisfaction. Job satisfaction results from employees' perceptions of how well their work provides things that are considered important. This research aims to identify the relationship between job satisfaction and employee work loyalty at Agency X, Mataram City. This research was carried out at Institution X, Mataram City in December 2023. The sample size was 54 employees who worked at Institution X, Mataram City. Samples were taken using sequential sampling. The focus of the research is job satisfaction and loyalty. Data were collected using a job satisfaction and work loyalty scale questionnaire. The study results showed that the correlation value between job satisfaction and job loyalty is 0.573, which means the relationship between job satisfaction and job loyalty is strong and positive. The majority of employees have moderate job satisfaction, namely 24 employees with a percentage of 44.4% and loyalty is in the medium category, with 18 employees with a percentage of 31.5%. Conclusion: Job satisfaction has a strong and significant relationship to work loyalty. The higher job satisfaction, the higher work loyalty will be. Efforts to increase job satisfaction, especially through the factors that have been identified, can be an effective strategy to strengthen employee loyalty and retention in agency X Mataram City.
