Abstract

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women and is one of the most common cancers worldwide. Anxiety and depression are psychological problems that often occur in breast cancer patients. Complementary therapies have been widely practiced overcoming physical problems in cancer patients, but not many have been done to overcome psychological problems due to the lack of diagnosis of the psychological aspects of cancer patients. The aim of this study was to identify several complementary therapies that can reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression in breast cancer patients. This research method uses Systematic Review method with PRISMA diagram without meta-analysis. Articles were searched from four online databased namely PubMed, EBSCOhost, Science Direct and Sage Journal. The systematic review identifies 10 studies that can be used for complementary therapy to address anxiety and depression. There are 4 types of complementary therapies discussed in this writing that can be used as adjunctive therapy to address anxiety and depression.
