Pengaruh Diet Tinggi Kolesterol terhadap Kadar TNF α

Abstract


Dyslipidemia is a lipid metabolism disorder in the form of increased levels of total cholesterol, low density lipoproteins (LDL), triglycerides, and decreased high density lipoproteins (HDL). The cause of dyslipidemia in Indonesia is the behavior of people who tend to consume foods low in fiber and high in fat. A diet that is high in cholesterol, as well as an unhealthy lifestyle, stress, smoking makes blood fat levels very difficult to control which can lead to hypercholesterolemic conditions. Eating foods with lots of fat will increase the inflammatory process, namely TNF α. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of a high cholesterol diet on TNF α levels. The method used was experimental design with post test only control group design on the experimental animal rat Galur Wistar. Rats will be given a diet high in cholesterol, namely quail egg yolks for 7 days. Examination of TNF α levels using ELISA technique. The results of the examination gott a p-value <0.05, it means that the impact of a high cholesterol diet will increase the level of inflammation in the body, especially TNF α. The conclusion is a high cholesterol diet will increase TNF α levels.

ABSTRAK

Dislipidemia adalah gangguan metabolisme lipid berupa peningkatan kadar kolesterol total, low density lipoprotein (LDL), trigliserida, dan penurunan high density lipoprotein (HDL). Faktor penyebab dislipidemia di Indonesia yaitu perilaku masyarakat yang cenderung mengkonsumsi makanan rendah serat dan tinggi lemak. Pola makan yang banyak mengandung kolesterol, serta gaya hidup yang tidak sehat, stress, merokok membuat kadar lemak darah sangat sulit dikendalikan yang dapat menimbulkan kondisi hiperkolesterolemia. Memakan makanan dengan banyak lemak akan meningkatkan proses inflamasi yaitu TNF α. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dampak diet tinggi kolesterol terhadap kadar TNF α. Metode yang digunakan adalah experimental dengan rancangan post test only control group design terhadap hewan coba tikus Galur Wistar. Tikus akan diberikan diet tinggi kolesterol yaitu kuning telor puyuh selama 7 hari. Pemeriksaan kadar TNF α dengan teknik. ELISA. Hasil pemeriksaan mendapatkan nilai p<0,05 maka dapat diartikan bahwa dampak diet tinggi kolesterol akan meningkatkan kadar inflamasi ditubuh khusunya TNF α. Kesimpulan diet tinggi kolesterol akan meningkatkan kadar TNF α.
