Permainan Golden Dorce Ransun Rabies Card untuk Meningkatkan Pengetahuan Anak tentang Rabies

Abstract


Children are the most vulnerable group to get rabies because at this time they like to interact with the outside world, including with animals, so it is important for children to know the dangers of rabies. Learning using interesting methods can facilitate children's understanding of rabies. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the educational game GDR2C (Golden Dorce Ransun Rabies Card) plus motion and song to increase children's knowledge about rabies. This research was a quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group design. The research subjects were students of SD GMIM Tumpengan and SD GMIM Tateli aged 10-12 years, who were selected by purposive sampling technique. Quantitative data were obtained from the pretest-posttest scores in the experimental group who received the GDR2C card game plus learning through motion and song; as well as in the control group who only received learning through movement and songs. The measuring instrument used was a questionnaire. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test. The results of data analysis showed p value = 0.003 (<0.05), so it was interpreted that there was a difference in the knowledge post-test scores of the two groups. Furthermore, it was concluded that health education using GDR2C + learning using motion and song was more effective than learning using only motion and song.

ABSTRAK

 

Anak-anak menjadi kelompok paling rentan terkena rabies karena pada masa ini mereka senang berinteraksi dengan dunia luar, termasuk dengan hewan, sehingga penting bagi anak untuk mengetahui bahaya penyakit rabies. Pembelajaran menggunakan metode yang menarik dapat mempermudah pemahaman anak tentang rabies. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas permainan edukasi GDR2C (Golden Dorce Ransun Rabies Card) ditambah gerak dan lagu untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan anak tentang rabies. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kuasi eksperimental dengan rancangan non equivalent control group. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SD GMIM Tumpengan dan SD GMIM Tateli yang berumur 10-12 tahun, yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari nilai pretest-posttest pada kelompok eksperimen yang mendapat permainan kartu GDR2C ditambah dengan pembelajaran melalui gerak dan lagu; maupun pada kelompok kontrol yang hanya mendapat pembelajaran melalui gerak dan lagu. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah kuesioner. Selanjutnya data dianalisis menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan nilai p = 0,003 (<0,05), sehingga diinterpretasikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan nilai post-test pengetahuan dari kedua kelompok. Selanjutnya disimpulkan bahwa pendidikan kesehatan menggunakan GDR2C + pembelajaran menggunakan gerak dan lagu lebih efektif daripada pembelajaran yang hanya menggunakan gerak dan lagu.
