Peningkatan Pengetahuan Kontrasepsi pada Calon Pengantin Melalui Komunikasi Persuasif

Abstract

Public knowledge about contraception is still lacking resulting in low use of contraception. Therefore, research is needed which aims to determine the effect of contraceptive education on the knowledge of prospective brides at the KUA of Cilincing District, which will be carried out from March to June 2022. This research is an experimental study with a pretest-posttest two group design with poster and video media, involving 96 prospective brides. selected by purposive sampling technique. The collected data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed ranks and Mann Whitney tests. The results showed that the value of p = 0.000 to test the difference in effectiveness. It was concluded that contraceptive education using video media was more effective than poster media.

ABSTRAK

Pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai kontrasepsi masih sangat kurang menimbulkan rendahnya penggunaan kontrasepsi. Maka diperlukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi kontrasepsi terhadap pengetahuan calon pengantin di KUA Kecamatan Cilincing yang dilaksanakan bulan Maret-Juni 2022. Penelitian ini merupakan studi eksperimental dengan rancangan pretes-posttest two group design dengan media poster dan video, yang melibatkan 96 calon pengantin yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis dengan uji Wilcoxon signed ranks dan Mann Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai p = 0,000 untuk uji perbedaan efektifitas. Disimpulkan bahwa edukasi kontrasepsi dengan media video lebih efektif jika dibandingkan melalui media poster.
