Peningkatan Pengetahuan tentang Komunikasi Efektif melalui Pelatihan bagi Pegawai Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Saiful Anwar, Malang

Abstract


Health workers need good communication in carrying out their duties, because in an integrated work team, the quality of communication determines the quality of service. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of communication training on employees' knowledge of effective communication. The research design was one group pretest-posttest, which involved 37 employees from all work units at Dr. Saiful Anwar, Malang. Before and after the communication training, employee knowledge was measured. Then an analysis of differences in employee knowledge between before and after training was carried out, using a paired sample t-test. The p-value of the results of the analysis was 0.000, so it could be interpreted that there was a significant difference in employee knowledge between before and after training, in which case, the level of post-training knowledge was higher than before. It could be concluded that communication training succeeded in increasing employee knowledge about effective communication in hospitals.

ABSTRAK

 

Tenaga kesehatan memerlukan komunikasi yang baik dalam menjalankan tugasnya, karena dalam tim kerja yang terintegrasi, kualitas komunikasi sangat menentukan kualitas layanan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan komunikasi terhadap pengetahuan pegawai tentang komunikasi efektif. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah one group pretest-posttest, yang melibatkan 37 pegawai dari seluruh unit kerja di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Saiful Anwar, Malang. Sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan komunikasi dilakukan pengukuran pengetahuan pegawai. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis perbedaan pengetahuan pegawai antara sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan, menggunakan paired sample t-test. Nilai p dari hasil analisi adalah 0,000, sehingga dapat ditafsirkan bahwa ada perbedaan pengetahuan pegawai secara signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan, yang dalam hal ini, tingkat pengetahuan pasca pelatihan lebih tinggi daripada sebelumnya. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan komunikasi berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan pegawai tentang komunikasi efektif di rumah sakit.
