Identifikasi Bakteri Klebsiella pneumoniae pada Urine Pasien dengan Infeksi Saluran Kemih

Abstract

A common type of nosocomial infection is urinary tract infection, one of the causes of which is Klebsiella pneumoniae, especially in individuals with compromised immune systems. The purpose of this study was to identify the presence of Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria in the urine of patients with urinary tract infections in a hospital. The research used a quantitative descriptive approach. This study involved 30 patients with urinary tract infections, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The samples examined in this study were urine samples collected via catheter. The results were then analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequencies and proportions. The analysis showed that 4 of the 30 urine samples tested positive for Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria. The conclusion of this study is that Klebsiella pneumoniae was detected in a portion of urine samples from patients with urinary tract infections, indicating its potential contribution as an agent of nosocomial infections in hospitals.

ABSTRAK

Suatu jenis infeksi nosokomial yang kerap tejadi adalah infeksi saluran kemih, yang salah satu penyebabnya adalah Klebsiella pneumoniae, terutama pada orang dengan sistem resistensi yang rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi keberadaan bakteri Klebsiella pneumoniae pada urine pasien dengan infeksi saluran kemih di rumah sakit. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan penelitian ialah kuantitatif deskriptif. Studi ini melibatkan 30 pasien dengan infeksi saluran kemih, yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel yang diperiksa dalam penelitian ini adalah urine pasien, yang diambil melalui kateter. Hasil pemeriksaan selanjutnya dianalisis dengan statistika deskriptif, berupa frekuensi dan proporsi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dalam 4 dari 30 sampel urin positif terdapat bakteri Klebsiella pneumoniae. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Klebsiella pneumoniae terdeteksi pada sebagian sampel urine pasien dengan infeksi saluran kemih, menandakan potensi kontribusinya sebagai agen infeksi nosokomial di rumah sakit.
