Abstract


Dental and oral health is an important indicator of a personal health. Only 10.2% receive services from medical personnel because Indonesians still believe that dental and oral complaints can heal by themselves. Efforts to overcome dental and oral health problems are through the utilization of dental and oral health services at the Health Center Dental Clinic which are related to several patient satisfaction factors, such as the expertise of health workers, interpersonal relationships, time, access, and comfort. Until now, there has been no research that analyzes patient satisfaction with the utilization of dental and oral health services at the Health Center Dental Clinic in Jember based on the determinants of patient satisfaction. The research design is analytical and uses a cross-sectional study approach with Purposive Sampling. The average percentage of patient satisfaction is classified as very satisfied (89%). The average percentage value of the utilization of dental and oral health services is classified as high utilization (85.6%). Each determinant of patient satisfaction also had a relationship with the utilization of dental and oral health services at the Dental Polyclinic of the Jember Health Center with a value of α <0.05 and showed that the determinant of time was the dominant factor influencing the utilization of dental and oral health services at the Dental Polyclinic of the Jember Health Center because it had a significance value <0.05 (0.035). Most respondents stated that they were very satisfied with the dental and oral health services at the Dental Polyclinic of the Jember Health Center and made high utilization so that it can be seen that there is a relationship between patient satisfaction with the utilization of dental and oral health services at the Dental Polyclinic of the Jember Health Center with the dominant factor of time.
