Pijat Pectoralis Major dan Pijat Oksitosin untuk Peningkatan Produksi ASI pada Ibu Postpartum

Abstract

Oxytocin massage and pectoralis major massage can stimulate the hormones oxytocin and prolactin. This study aims to determine the difference in the effectiveness of pectoralis major massage and oxytocin massage to increase breast milk production in postpartum mothers. This study is a literature review that examines various literacy related to pectoralis major massage and oxytocin massage in increasing breast milk production. The results of the article synthesis showed that these two techniques were effective in increasing breast milk production, and oxytocin massage was considered more effective in increasing milk production than pectoralis major massage. The differences between these methods are the position during the massage, the area of stimulation, the technique of stimulation, and the center of stimulation. This technique can be used as a non-pharmacological and non-invasive alternative therapy that is safe, inexpensive and easy to perform.

ABSTRAK

Pijat oksitosin dan pijat pectoralis major dapat merangsang hormon oksitosin dan prolaktin. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan efektivitas pijat pectoralis major dan pijat oksitosin untuk meningkatkan produksi air susu ibu pada ibu post partum. Studi ini merupakan literature review yang mengkaji berbagai literasi terkait dengan pijat pectoralis major dan pijat oksitosin dalam meningkatkan produksi air susu ibu. Hasil sintesis artikel menunjukkan bahwa kedua teknik ini efektif untuk meningkatkan peningkatan produksi air susu ibu, dan pijat oksitosin dinilai lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan produksi ASI dibandingkan pijat pectoralis major. Perbedaan antara metode ini adalah posisi selama pemijatan, area stimulasi, teknik stimulasi, dan pusat stimulasi. Teknik ini dapat dijadikan sebagai terapi alternatif non-farmakologi dan non-invasif yang aman, murah dan mudah dilakukan.
